AbilityPlus is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that maintains residential homes for individuals in North Alabama with intellectual disabilities. Our residential homes are designed to enhance the lives of our residents by providing:

•individualized supervision
•supportive services that promote independence, maximum self-esteem, social, money management and domestic skills
•services that encourage setting personal goals
•opportunities that help reach their highest potential

•individualized educational activities

The number of residents living in each house is limited to ensure each individual receives quality support services in a family-like environment while maintaining the comfort of home.

Each individual’s strengths, unique physical, psychological and social background, as well as the families are considered when setting their short and long-term goals.

AbilityPlus offers a community-inclusive home environment to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Residential homes are maintained with a CPR, first aid and medication trained staff to support the direct care and development of residents. Homes offer an enhanced quality of life with opportunities and challenges that are within the functional capabilities of each individual and provides physical and emotional security.
